Frequently Asked Questions

If you're looking for hands-on treatment for muscle tension, pain, recovery, relaxation, or general maintenance, Massage Therapy is a great place to start.
If your main focus is mobility, flexibility, stiffness, or improving how you move, Fascial Stretch Therapy™ (FST™) may be a better fit.
If you're pregnant, please select Prenatal Massage so your appointment and intake forms can be appropriately tailored to you.

Your first appointment begins with a review of your health history, current concerns, and what you'd like to get out of treatment. Depending on your goals, this may also include a brief assessment before we discuss the treatment approach together.
For Massage Therapy, you can undress to your personal comfort level and appropriate draping is always used. For FST™, treatment is performed fully clothed, so comfortable, flexible clothing is recommended.
Your treatment will be adapted to your goals, preferences, and what is appropriate for you that day.

Registered Massage Therapy is covered by many extended health insurance plans. Direct billing is available for most major insurance providers, where supported by your individual plan.
Coverage, referral requirements, and reimbursement amounts vary between plans, so I recommend confirming your benefits directly with your insurance provider before your appointment.
If direct billing is unavailable or your claim cannot be processed at the time of treatment, payment will be collected and an official RMT receipt will be provided for you to submit for reimbursement.
-
Payment is due at the end of your appointment. E-transfer (preferred), debit, and credit cards are accepted. Please note that cash payments are not accepted on site.
An electronic receipt will be provided following payment.
Tipping is neither required nor expected. As a regulated healthcare professional, my focus is on providing quality therapeutic care. If you've had a positive experience, referrals and reviews are always greatly appreciated.

The studio is a scent-conscious space. To help maintain a comfortable environment for everyone, please avoid wearing strong perfumes, colognes, or heavily scented products to your appointment.
If you have a particular scent sensitivity or allergy that may affect your visit, please feel free to let me know ahead of time.

You may occasionally see my Samoyed at the studio. He is friendly and may be present from time to time, but I understand that not everyone is comfortable around dogs.
If you have allergies, are uncomfortable around dogs, or simply prefer a dog-free visit, please let me know ahead of your appointment. I'm always happy to make arrangements so you can feel comfortable and at ease during your time in the studio.
